An identical prayer is sought for in this application by the President of Maravapalaym Panchayat, as that of two other Original Application Nos.61 of 2022 and 89 of 2022 (SZ) pending before this Tribunal.

Admitting the above Original Application and tagging with the pending matters would only increase the number of pendency.

Besides, it would pave the way for any other aggrieved farmer who is the beneficiary of the Lower Bhavani Project Canal to file similar applications though the order that may be passed will be common.

Hence, we do not propose to admit this application.

It is also to be mentioned that in Writ Petition Nos.19472 and 19548 of 2022, the Hon’ble High Court of Madras has already given a specific direction to the authorities concerned to proceed with the work from 01.05.2023, based on the existing Government Order.

However, if the applicant herein still wants to pursue this case, it is open to him to get himself impleaded in any one of the pending applications, subject to the objections that may be raised by the Government.

So, in view of the above, this Original Application [O.A.

No.86 of 2023 (SZ)] is dismissed.
