During the previous hearing, the learned counsel for the applicant sought time to amend the prayer made in the Original Application.

Pursuant thereto, an interlocutory application [I.A.

No.

65 of 2025 (SZ)] was filed, seeking amendment of the prayer made in the Original Application.

The prayers are as follows:- A.

To direct the Respondents, particularly Respondent Nos.

1 to 3, to consider and dispose of the representation dated 18.09.2024 (Annexure 2) submitted by the Applicant, in accordance with law and taking into consideration the restraining order passed by the Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA) dated 29.11.2023 (Annexure 1) B.

Direct the Respondents to ensure that no construction or developmental activity is carried out in or around the Byalakere Lake and its buffer zone in contravention of environmental norms and statutory obligations.

C.

Pass such other or further orders as this Hon’ble Tribunal may deem fit and proper in the interests of justice and environmental protection and thus render justice.

However, when the matter was taken up for consideration today, the learned counsel for the applicant has given up Prayer ‘A’ as sought in I.A.

65 of 2025 (SZ) and made an endorsement to that effect.

Accordingly, I.A.

65 of 2025 (SZ) for amendment is allowed. s allowed.

The applicant is directed to furnish an amended copy of the Original Application.

The applicant has also filed I.A.

66 of 2025 (SZ) seeking deletion of the 2nd Respondent, viz., the National Wetland Committee, and for impleadment of the Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA).

Hence, I.A.

66 of 2025 (SZ) is allowed and accordingly, the 2nd Respondent/National Wetland Committee is deleted from the array of parties, and the Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA) is substituted in its place.

The Registry is directed to carry out the amendment in the cause title by substituting Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA) in place of the National Wetland Committee.

Let the matter be listed on 01.07.2025 under the caption “For Admission.” Sd/- Smt.
