This OA is registered on the basis of the grievance raised in the letter petition dated 22.06.2023 in respect of the pollution being caused by Dhalao Ghar outside the Aryabhatta State University, B Block, G.T.

Karnal Road Industrial Area, Delhi.

It has been stated that this Dhalao is constant source of smell and nuisance in the area.

It is also the grievance that inconvenience and health hazards is caused during cleaning of the Dhalao and loading and unloading of the garbage.

The said Dhalao is stated to be a source of health risk to the nearby residents and from that poisonous gases are emanating and unhygienic environment is created.

Having regard to the grievance which has been raised in the letter petition, we are of the view that at the first instance, the issue needs to be considered by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

Hence, at this stage, we dispose of the OA by directing the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi to duly consider the grievance raised in the letter petition and take appropriate remedial 2 action in accordance with law.

Let this exercise be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The OA is disposed of accordingly.

A copy of this order, along with copy of the letter petition, be forwarded to the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Delhi by e-mail for compliance.
