The grievance of the applicant is cutting of “Neem” tree situated on the main road leading to Civil Court Ghaziabad near office of the District Magistrate, Ghaziabad.

It is submitted that this tree was approximately 100 years old and for certain amount the District Magistrate or the authorities decided to cut it.

In the prayer clause, it had been submitted that the respondent be directed to plant trees in place of destroyed tree.

The District Magistrate, Ghaziabad is directed to plant 10 times of trees and ensure that there shall not be any cutting of trees in violation of Forest Rules without permission from the competent authority.

The application stands disposed of accordingly.
