HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE K.
SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5727 of 2023 Order: This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 Cr.P.C., has been filed to direct the learned I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Adoni to take cognizance of the complaint filed by the petitioner herein vide CFR No.2137 of 2018, dated 21.04.2018.
2.
Heard.
Perused the record.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner herein has filed a complaint, under Section 200 Cr.P.C., before the learned I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Adoni, in CFR No.2137 of 2018, dated 21.04.2018.
According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Magistrate has recorded the statements of the petitioner herein and his daughter on 18.07.2018 and 03.11.2021 respectively and, thereafter, the learned Magistrate has not passed any orders on the said complaint.
4.
On a perusal of the material on record goes to show though the complaint in CFR No.2137 of 2018 was filed on 21.04.2018, there is no reason as to why the same has been kept pending since long time without numbering it or rejecting the same by a reasoned order.
5.
In view of the aforesaid reasons, the learned I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Adoni, is directed to pass appropriate 2 orders in CFR No.2137 of 2018, dated 21.04.2018, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.
With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. ________________________ K.
