Parineeta, Standing Counsel ORDER: This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.10,00,000/- (Ten Lakhs) to the son of the petitioner under the Application ID No.OV2018121420, despite sanction of funds by the Government, as per G.O.Rt.No.174, Backward Classes Welfare (B) Department, dated 07.12.2017 read with G.O.Ms.No.29, Backward Classes Welfare (B) Department, dated 27.08.2016 as illegal, arbitrary and for consequential direction.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleaders representing the respective Departments.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the son of the petitioner namely, Mr.

Katta Nanda Kishore was selected by the State Level Scrutiny Committee to pursue his Post Graduation abroad under “Videshi Vidyadharana Scheme” and issued proceedings to the 4th respondent for making payment of Rs.10,00,000/-, but the respondents did not release the said amounts.

He further submitted that after completion of all formalities, the petitioner’s son went to the foreign University and completed his Masters.

In the meantime, the petitioner, so many times, requested the respondents to release the sanctioned amount of Rs.10,00,000/-, but despite lapse of more than 2 years, no amount was released, hence the petitioner was constrained to pay the necessary fees and living expenses to his son in abroad by borrowing amounts from the private money lenders for high interest rates with a fond hope that the Gove t the Government will release the amounts.

Hence, the Writ Petition.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Social Welfare, while placing a copy of the written instructions dated 02.02.2024 received from the 9th respondent submits that the petitioner’s son namely, Mr.

Katta Nanda Kishore is eligible as per the report submitted by the Vigilance and Enforcement Department and requested for three (3) months time for making payment to the petitioner after receipt of the budget from the Government.

Considering the submissions of both the learned counsel and the instructions dated 02.02.2024 placed on record by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to release the sanctioned amount under “NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Scheme” within a period of two (2) months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

There shall be no order as to costs.
