SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.2938 of 2023 ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 437 and 439 of Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners/A-1 and A-2 seeking regular bail, in Crime No.

32 of 2023 of II Town Police Station, Visakhapatnam City.

A case has been registered against the petitioners herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.

Case of the prosecution is that on 15.02.2023 on credible information, the Station House Officer with his staff and mediators found the petitioners with 5 Kgs of Ganja in Room No.407, Drakshayani Lodge, situated near Chavulamadhum Junction, Visakhapatnam City and the same was seized under a cover of mediatornama, arrested the petitioners/A-1 and A-2 and remanded them to judicial custody on 15.02.2023.

Perused the record.

The petitioners herein were arrested and they have been languishing in jail.

The quantity of contraband allegedly seized by the police is about 5 Kgs.

It is represented by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation is not yet completed and it is at nascent stage.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners herein.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. ____________________________ K.
