Respondents Counsel for the petitioner : M/s.Bokka Satyanarayana Counsel for respondents : The G.P. for Panchayat Raj & Rural Development The G.P. for Finance & Planning ORDER: The writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not releasing the bill amount of Rs.1,96,187/- with interest to the petitioner in respect of execution of the work i.e., “Completion of Incomplete Revenue Guest House at Anthervedi (Antervedi Devasthanam Village) of Sakhinetipalli Mandal, East Godavari District” under the grant of SDF 2016–17.

At the time of considering the matter, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj & Rural 2 Development placed a copy of the instructions dated 06.3.2023 of the 4th respondent for perusal of this Court.

From a reading of the said instructions, it would appear that there is no dispute that the amount claimed by the petitioner is due in respect of the works mentioned above and the bill is under preparation.

In view of the said position, the writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to arrange to pay the amount due to the petitioner, if the same is not already paid, after effecting statutory deductions, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is needless to say that the petitioner may claim interest, through appropriate proceedings.

No order as to costs.
