RAGHUNANDAN RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.125 of 2023 ORDER: The petitioner is accused No.1 in Crime No.583 of 2022 on the file of Pedakakani Police Station, Guntur District, for the offences under Section 498-A of Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

The petitioner has filed the present petition to quash the said complaint on the ground that the allegations made in the complaint are false and that there is an inordinate delay of four (04) months in filing of the complaint.

A perusal of the complaint shows that there are allegations which require further investigation.
The question of whether these allegations are true or not can only be determined after proper investigation is carried out.
The question of whether there was an inordinate delay of four (04) months or whether that delay has been explained is also a matter for investigation.

In the circumstances, this Court does not deem it appropriate to intervene in the matter at this stage.

Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is dismissed.
However, the petitioner shall be entitled to a benefit of notice under Section 41-A of Cr.P.C. before any steps are taken against him.
Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, in this petition shall stand closed. ____________________________ R.
