5663 of 2023 O R D E R: 1.
Seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering and disposing of the representation dated 23.02.2023 made by the petitioner requesting to stop the illegal sand mining in R.S.
No.677-1 of Gilakaladindi Village, Machilipatnam Mandal, Krishna District as illegal arbitrary, and colorable exercise of power, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a resident of Gilakaladindi Village, Machilipatnam Mandal, and all the villagers in the said village belong to the Fisherman Community and they are depending on the traditional fishing for livelihood.
The said village is abutting the sea and it is situated at the tail end of Machilipatnam Municipality.
As such, no sand mining will be permitted in the said area.
The said area was notified under Andhra Pradesh Coastal Zone Management Authority.

In the light of the above, without going into the merits and demerits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the 7th respondent to consider the representation dated 23.02.2023 made by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken thereon to the petitioner.
There shall be no order as to costs.
