With the consent of both the counsel, the writ petition is disposed of, at the stage of admission.

The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 5th respondent to release the Goods Carriage Vehicle bearing Regn.
No.KA 17D 9692 and jaggery seized in connection with Excise offence registered against the petitioners.

Though the learned counsel for the petitioners sought to advance arguments, at the time of considering the matter, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Excise placed a copy of the order dated 18.8.2022 passed by the 4th respondent under Section 46(2) of the A.P.
Excise Act, confiscating the vehicle as also the jaggery seized from the petitioners.
He submits that the petitioners have not challenged the proceedings and therefore, they are entitled for any of the reliefs sought for, in the present petition.

In the light of the said submission, the writ petition is disposed of, leaving it open to the petitioners to challenge the order dated 18.8.2022 passed by the 4th respondent, in accordance with Law.
No order as to costs.
