JUSTICE MEENAKSHI MADAN RAI, JUDGE … ORDER When the matter is taken up for consideration, the Registry draws our attention to a letter dated 17th June, 2022, written by the Deputy Secretary, Sikkim State Legal Services Authority, Gangtok, addressed to the Assistant Registrar, High Court of Sikkim, Gangtok, wherefrom it appears that the instant case was amicably settled at the Mediation Centre, East, at Gangtok, by Shri Narendra Rai, Senior Advocate/Mediator, East Sikkim at Gangtok.
A deed of compromise signed by all the parties has also been annexed to the said letter dated 17th June, 2022.
Considering the fact that the matter has been amicably settled, we direct the Registry to forward copies of all relevant documents (including the deed of compromise) to Union of India, through the Secretary, Ministry o Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, New Delhi and also, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, having its registered office at Mumbai, so that necessary orders/directions can be issued by the concerned authority/authorities based on the compromise arrived at by and between the parties before the learned Mediator.
Since both the writ petitions have been pending for a considerable period of time, we expect the concerned authority/authorities to take steps in terms of this order, as expeditiously as possible.
Both writ petitions being W.P. (PIL) No.
06 of 2017 (Prem Goyal Vs Union of India and Ors.) and W.P. (C) No.
19 of 2020 (M/S Kamala Indane and Ors.
