Hence, the instant petition.

2) Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that at this stage the petitioner would be satisfied if the respondents are directed to accord consideration to the representations of the petitioner for promotion in accordance with the rules, same is not opposed by learned GA appearing for respondents.

The relief sought is innocuous.

Therefore, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to accord due consideration to the representations seeking consideration for promotion to the next higher post.

3) The exercise shall be undertaken and completed within a period of six weeks from today, result of consideration be it affirmative or negative whatever permissible under the rules shall be conveyed to the petitioner.

Rules and Regulations while considering the representations shall be strictly followed.

4) Liberty to the petitioner to re-agitate subject to survival of cause.
