Though the State had earlier indicated that the notice to commence the work had been issued to the contractor who had been identified and the contractor had been given three months’ time to furnish a detailed project report, the date of commencement of construction had not been stated.

In the report filed today, details of the time to be taken for site clearance, earthwork, construction of side drains and cross drainage works, undertaking granular sub-base and base course work, protection Serial No.
01 Regular List Page 2 of 2 works, bituminous works, bridge works and traffic signs and road appurtenances have been indicated.

The report also reveals that to restore communication on the road an 18-metre span Bailey bridge is being put up and the Bailey bridge will be completed for use by November, 2022.
In view of the detailed reports filed previously and today and it being fairly clear that the construction on the relevant stretch should be completed within reasonable time, the application is disposed of.

8 of 2018 is closed and it is recorded that PIL No.
4 of 2018 has already been disposed of by an order dated March 29, 2019. (W.
