374 of 2023.
2) The applicant has preferred this Second Bail Application under Section 439 of the Cr.P.C. in connection with Crime No.12/2022, registered at Police Station Jaijaipur, District Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of the NDPS Act.
3) As per the prosecution story, after receipt of secret information, Police seized 49.700 kg Ganja from a Car bearing registration No.
CG-11-MV-9539.
At that time, four persons were travelling, including the present applicant.
4) Learned counsel for the applicant would submit that there is -2- no progress in the trial and the applicant is in jail since 28.01.2022.
Therefore, he may be enlarged on bail.
5) On the other hand, learned State counsel would oppose the bail application.
6) Considering the fact that there has been no change in the circumstances of the case, this Court is not convinced to entertain the instant bail application.
Accordingly, the second bail application is dismissed at the motion stage.
However, learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.
